National Nanny Association (UK) Membership Terms and Conditions

Welcome to the National Nanny Association in the United Kingdom. These Terms and Conditions govern your membership with the National Nanny Association. By becoming a member, you agree to comply with the following terms.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for membership with the National Nanny Association, applicants must:

  • Be a professional nanny
  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Reside and work in the United Kingdom.
  • Possess relevant qualifications or professional experience in childcare.
  • Commit to uphold the National Nanny Association’s Code of Conduct and professional standards.

Membership Categories

The National Nanny Association offers the following membership categories:

Full Nanny Member

For professional nannies with at least one year of experience or qualifications in childcare. £30.00

The Nanny Register

For professional nannies with at least 2 years’ experience, a minimum of Level 3 qualification in homebased childcare, hold an enhanced DBS, Paediatric First Aid, a food safety in Early Years, and hold a Nanny Insurance policy. A further £10.00 per annum.

Family Membership

For a family wanting to access the Nanny Register. A minimum of a £5.00 donation.

 

Application Process

  • Membership applications must be completed online through the official National Nanny Association website or provided forms.
  • Applicants must provide accurate and truthful information regarding their qualifications and professional experience.
  • The National Nanny Association reserves the right to request further documentation or conduct background checks before approving any membership application.
  • Membership is granted at the discretion of the National Nanny Association, and applications may be refused without explanation.

 

Membership Fees

  • All full members must pay an annual membership fee, the amount of £30.00.
  • Fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable, except in the case of rejected applications
  • Failure to pay membership fees will result in suspension or termination of membership. 

 

Code of Conduct

All members are required to adhere to the National Nanny Association’s Code of Conduct, which includes:

  • Maintaining professionalism and integrity in childcare services.
  • Respecting the confidentiality and privacy of the families they work with.
  • Following all relevant UK laws and regulations concerning child welfare and protection.
  • Engaging in continued professional development to improve skills and knowledge.

Failure to comply with the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or termination of membership.

 

Membership Benefits

As a member of the National Nanny Association, you will receive the following benefits:

  • Access to industry updates, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Networking opportunities with other professionals in the childcare sector.
  • Access to exclusive member resources and events.
  • Discounts on childcare-related products and services from affiliated partners.

The National Nanny Association reserves the right to change or discontinue certain membership benefits at any time.

 

Termination of Membership

Members may cancel their membership at any time by providing written notice to the National Nanny Association.

The NNA may terminate a membership if the member:

  • Fails to pay the annual membership fee.
  • Violates the National Nanny Association Code of Conduct or these Terms and Conditions.
  • Engages in any conduct that is deemed harmful or detrimental to the reputation of the National Nanny Association.
  • Releases discount codes or member information without the committee’s permission to non-members.

In the event of termination, no refund will be provided for any unused portion of the membership.

 

Privacy and Data Protection

The National Nanny Association is committed to protecting your privacy. Any personal data provided as part of the membership application process will be handled in accordance with UK data protection laws, including the Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK GDPR.

Amendments

The National Nanny Association reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Members will be notified of any changes via email or the Association’s website. Continued membership after any such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms and Conditions.

 

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. Members agree to first attempt to resolve any disputes with the Association informally before seeking legal remedies.
